St.Colmcilles GAA Cardiff Underage Team 2009/2010 Awards

The St. Colmcilles Cardiff Gaelic Football team recently held their underage awards night in The Tavistock Hotel.

It was a celebration of a successful year for the namely reformed team, in which they reached the semi-final of the British Club Under 14 Championship.

The team also played in an international tournament in Birmingham last June and the year was capped off with a hugely successful club tour to Wexford, Ireland last October.

Three schools from the area, St Cadoc’s, St Francis and St Josephs, travelling to Birmingham on March 26 to take part in a regional primary schools competition.

All players were presented with a plaque and the award winners were:

Players’ Player of the Year: Jack Patterson

Player of the Year: Tom Brookfield

Player of the Tour to Wexford: Nathan McLaughlin

Most Improved Player of the Year: James Connolly

Congratulations to all involved and we look forward to another successful and enjoyable year on the field
