St Colmcilles GAA have been promoting Gaelic Games, Irish Language and Culture in the Cardiff and South Wales area since the club was reformed in 1956. Currently the only non-university GAA team in Wales we compete in the Gloucestershire league of which we are current champions. St. Colmcilles GAA Cardiff are an ambitious club looking to build upon our proud history and looking forward to the challenges of the season ahead and aims to progress further.

2010 saw the start of the St. Colmcilles Cardiff Ladies team which has been growing from strength to strength over past 12 months. The ladies are gearing up again for the year ahead and welcome all interested, so please do not hesitate to contact us or look for us on facebook.
St. Colmcilles are always happy to welcome and encourage new players. We have players from all four provinces of Ireland and all parts of UK with a wide range of ability levels. We are always looking for new players so if interested please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. We are also always looking to develop the club as whole so if interested in assisting the club in anyway such as coaching, committee work, fundraising or just coming down to cheer the team on from the sideline then please get in contact.

On the University front newly established University of Wales Institute, Cardiff Gaelic football club has seen players from the 3 main universities in South Wales: UWIC, Cardiff University and University of Glamorgan combine together to compete in the Midlands league and British University GAA Championships this year.
As we aim to build on from the huge success of our last season, 2011/2012 season will see the introduction of a ladies team.If you belong to any of those Universities mentioned and are interested in playing for the men or ladies team in 2011/2012, please do not hesitate to contact us or leave a message on our facebook page or contact us.
